Allergy Testing / Food Testing
This testing is extremely beneficial in uncovering and identifying underlying irritants and culprits of chronic disease processes such as arthritis, allergies, asthma, acne, fatigue, weight gain, bloating/gas, irritable bowel disease, migraines, acid reflux, etc.
The test involves a simple blood draw with the serum portion sent to the laboratory where it is screened against 115 of the most common foods, spices, and condiments. The results are listed as non-reactive (0), mild-to-moderate reactivity (1+, 2+), and severe/allergic reactivity (3+, 4+).
The treatment protocol involves a combined elimination diet (90 days) and simultaneous rotational diet, followed by reintroduction of mildly-reactive foods after completion of the elimination diet phase.
There are also pediatric versions of this testing available, along with airborne / environmental allergen testing for those concerned with seasonal allergies. The test has been covered by insurance almost without exception, likely to the use of blood serum and ELIZA testing technology, considered by most as the gold standard.

Clinical Nutrition
Clinical Nutrition is the use of individualized dietary plans coupled with targeted nutraceuticals / supplements as a cornerstone of preventive health care and as a healing/restorative approach. This is quite different from the "one diet fits all" approach and encompasses the return to a whole food, natural/organic diet.
Botanical Medicine
Botanical Medicine is the use of whole-plant preparations to address acute and chronic health issues, aka herbs, herbal remedies. These preparations are generally placed into two categories: tonic/tonifying and stimulating. Tonic herbs support and maintain balance in organs, tissues and cells by providing important nutrients, and are typically taken for longer durations of time.
Stimulating herbs have a stronger influence on organs, tissues, and cells, and are usually taken for much shorter durations. Botanical preparations can be used in many forms, including teas, oils, tinctures, tablets, capsules and in culinary forms, as well.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a system of therapy based on the premise that - like cures like," invoking the Law of Similars. The basic principle of homeopathy is that the natural state of the human body is one of health and innate wisdom that allows the body to heal itself. To affect a cure, homeopathy does not suppress the symptoms expressed, but rather seeks to gently stimulate the body's own natural healing system and wisdom. Homeopathic remedies are derived mostly from plant sources, e.g.- Arnica (mountain tree bark), but also derive from animal sources, e.g. - Apis (honeybee), and mineral sources, e.g. - Nat mur (sodium chloride).
In homeopathy, the more diluted the remedy, the greater the potency. This allows the administration of very powerful, but minute, therapeutic doses with virtually no side effects or toxic reactions. The selection of an appropriate remedy focuses on the state of the whole individual - physical, mental, emotional - as opposed to conventional prescribing, solely focusing on the patient's symptoms. Administration of homeopathy can be delivered through liquid or dissolvable pellet form.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is the therapeutic use of water, steam or ice. This is an age-old, time-tested form of therapy that utilizes the healing forms of H20 to promote healing and health. Common examples of hydrotherapy include the use of dry saunas and steam baths where the aim is to use alternating hot and cold applications to promote enhanced blood circulation and elimination of toxins from the body. Other forms of hydrotherapy can be focused on specific areas of the body as simply as a hot wash cloth to the forehead followed by a cold washcloth or a frozen bag of peas.
Other forms of hydrotherapy include: Constitutional hydrotherapy, sitz bath, wet sock treatment, and hot chest fomentation.
Bowen Technique
This gentle, non-invasive, but powerful form of physical medicine was developed in Australia by Mr. Tom Bowen and is now taught and practiced world-wide. The Bowen Technique is a unique form of neuromuscular repatterning which works primarily through the nervous system, while impacting both structural and energetic levels of the body. The technique involves gentle rolling movements over muscle bellies, tendon sheath apparatuses, and Acupuncture meridian points, stimulating a systemic response that improves circulation, lymphatic drainage, detoxification, and musculoskeletal healing and realignment. The Bowen Technique is safely applied to infants and elderly alike, while addressing a vast array of issues: asthma, arthritis, back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, IBS, musculoskeletal injuries and pain, menstrual and hormonal irregularities, headaches and colic, to name a few.

Neurotransmitter / Hormone Testing and Targeted Amino Acid Therapy (TAAT)
This testing involves the assessment of neurotransmitter levels in the brain and body at large, along with active hormone levels from the adrenal glands and other sources to determine if the levels are in range, deficient, or excessive. This is accomplished through a simple collection of urine and saliva samples by the patient in the privacy and comfort of their home from a self-contained kit that is dispensed at their appointment and then mailed to the lab after collection is completed. Once the levels of neurotransmitters and hormones have been established, the treatment protocol involves the administration of targeted amino acid therapy, to intervene at the core level of the disturbance/imbalance, thereby providing the raw materials to correct the levels of neurotransmitter/ hormone imbalances, and thus resolve the issue at hand.
There are many health issues that are benefited by this testing: ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, libido, and weight gain. The testing is relatively inexpensive and generally covered by insurance, although the TAAT is usually not covered and "out of pocket," as is the case with most supplements.

Functional Blood Chemistry & Endocrine Analysis
This is an emerging area of health care and research that uses standard and advanced testing to assess a person's health status, but utilizes more progressive and beneficial parameters of what is considered to be optimal health ranges for blood and endocrine/hormone components. The treatment plan that accompanies the results obtained is an individualized format which includes dietary guidelines, supplement recommendations, exercise, stress management, flower essences, homeopathic remedies, etc. The testing and consultation appointments are generally covered by insurance. Metabolic Testing
This is a type of in-office testing that resembles a glucose tolerance test (GTT), but is utilized to determine if your dominant form of metabolism (converting food into glucose), coupled with assessing your blood pH tendency relative to 7.46 on the pH scale. These two vital pieces of information then allow for the identification and recommendation of the most beneficial foods for your unique Metabolic Type. It resembles the "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" program, but identifies you much more uniquely than just your blood type alone. The test spans about 2.25 hours, requires a 12-hour fast, and is generally very well covered by insurance.
